To create a successful, efficient, and pleasant design, teamwork is imperative. In almost every profession, teamwork is the glue that holds the job together. This is incredibly true for the Interior Design industry. Because of social media, designers all over the world can connect virtually and work together to create beautiful spaces. Great relationships can be built through social media just by the click of a button. Design can be impacted greatly with the collaboration of different creative minds.

Social media not only allows designers to make connections with other designers, but it also allows them to learn from the examples that other designers are sharing. It helps designers build each other up which in turn creates a more positive, long lasting, and superior design experience for everyone involved.

With the presence of social media growing, it’s also important to establish a strong presence of your own to build connections with current and potential clients. Nowadays, people often use social media as a type of search engine to find information about your business or services. If you can’t provide a quickly accessible, and strong presence, you may be easily overlooked and quickly forgotten. When customers look for your page, you want them to instantly understand the style of your work and what you can offer at a quick glance. While social media should showcase your work and services, it also provides an opportunity to add personality to your business where a website can’t. Putting faces behind the business can give the client an understanding of the staff dynamic and add an extra layer of trust, legitimacy, and credibility from a consumer’s perspective. The goal in building these personal relationships through social media platforms should be retaining current clients, while also obtaining new clients resulting in overall growth of the business. Social media is more than just posting pictures, it is a strategic marketing strategy when executed properly.

Social media gives designers an opportunity to display their work, build relationships with clients, and market their services. Clients today don’t even have to step into our showroom to see our work because we provide photos of our designs and custom furniture on our accounts.
